Armstrong Mobile Vets

Armstrong Mobile Vets is a unique veterinary service in the Berkeley Vale area, offering individual personal care for your pet, in your own home.

Our veterinary surgeons, Ernest Armstrong, Richard Kirby and Emma Suiter visit your pets by appointment in your own home throughout the Berkeley Vale in Gloucestershire, including Berkeley, Cam, Dursley and Wotton-under-Edge. They are ably assisted by caring, friendly staff who work from our clinic in Breadstone.

The strength of the AMV service lies in our small team building close relationships with our clients and patients.

We offer a 24 hour a day emergency service every day of the year so even if the clinic is closed your telephone calls will always be answered so please call if you need to. Occasionally you might get our message service but please leave a message and we will always return your call as soon as possible.

Chocolates at Christmas

Every year we get called to help dogs that have eaten chocolate. This is a real poison threat to dogs, especially dark chocolate. Some dogs will sniff it out through wrappers so please don’t leave wrapped chocolates within reach of dogs. Sultanas, raisins and other dried fruit are also toxic, so take care as often there are lots of these items about at this time of year.

Building works at the practice

Improving our consulting space and reception area has now finished. We also have more office space and a separate quiet cattery area for feline patients who are staying with us and who do not like noisy dogs. We just have some decorating to finish. Thanks for bearing with us through the upheaval.

New Phone System

In response to lots of our clients struggling to get through on the phone we have invested in more lines and a new phone system. There will still be busy times but your call will now be put in a short queue, waiting to be answered rather than you just getting a busy dialing tone. We hope you notice the difference and thanks for being patient with us.

Fireworks

If you need any help over New Year then please ask. We are getting good results with our new oral gel that calms and relaxes dogs.

There was a supply delay over the bonfire night but supplies are back to normal now and this product should be available if you would like to try some. A member of our team will be happy to talk to you about how to use it.

Staff changes

Our Head nurse Julie has now left the practice and we wish her the very best of luck with new career. Julie has been an incredible asset to Armstrong Mobile Vets over the years, looking after pets and their owners with incredible care and attention. She will be truly missed.

We also welcome Annie to the team as nursing assistant. Please join us in wishing her well when you pop into the clinic.
